How do I set the memory speed?

If your system supports XMP, the easiest way to optimize your Ballistix memory is to enable XMP in your system’s UEFI/BIOS. Please refer to your owner’s manual for instructions specific to your system.

Can I mix Ballistix memory with another brand of memory?

In most cases, you can mix manufacturer parts, however, all memory in the system will run at the slowest performance of the installed parts. To maximize performance, we recommend that you install your memory in matched pairs.

My Ballistix memory is not running at the rated speed. What is going on?

Will the Ballistix memory work with my CPU cooler?

Some CPU coolers will restrict access to the memory slots on certain motherboards. Our Ballistix modules vary in height, depending on the model. We highly recommend confirming the amount of space you have available.

I just installed my memory and my system will not boot. What do I do?

When a system doesn’t boot after a memory upgrade, it is usually because the memory isn’t fully pressed into the slot. For DIMM memory, press memory until the retaining clips click.
